Understanding the Difference- Pulsar & EMResource
There has been some confusion in regard to new software programs being piloted, EMResource and Pulsara. EMResource is for medical resources. Pulsara is for patient care.
EMResource is for health and medical resource availability tracking. It provides event notification for mass casualty or Haz-mat emergencies or LE notices for the missing or BOLO’s. It is an incident management tool for resource and asset availability including bed availability by type. It provides resource and situational information across disciplines.
Pulsara is for patient care. This application allows sharing of patient information along the health care continuum and patient tracking for family unification. Pulsara is a HIPAA-compliant app that unites the entire care team — including EMS, hospital staff, Lab, X-ray and more. Pulsara alerts the appropriate team members and adds them to the patient's channel, giving ALL team members one way to communicate about the patient, regardless of location or organization.
